Discussing And Analyzing Jubilee Party’s Manifesto
Lets see a conversation of these people who were in Ktn for the analysis, but we will not take the whole conversation;
- Calvins Oridi [Political Analyst]
- Mwende Mwinzi Jubilee Aspirant for Mwingi West Parliamentary Seat.
So first let’s pick some of 2013 Jubilee’s Manifesto that haven’t been accomplished.
Here are some of the unfulfilled promises by Jubilee ;
1. Building of Sports Stadium in the major cities of the country
2. Food Security Program
Asks (Akisa)Ktn interviewer ; So do we expect this unfulfilled promises to feature in today’s manifesto launch?
Absolutely; I think it’s important first to understand that 4 years is a very short amount of time to do as much as this government [Jubilee] has vis’ a vis’ industrialization. So… you know in my view the standard gauge railway is more of a priority more impacting than the national stadium. Am with that said I think with the issue of food security, all I can say is you know Jubilee doesn’t create rain; am and if the previous governments and I mean we’ve had Raila Odinga, we’ve had Kalonzo Musioka in government for very very many years. If they had focus more on building dams, on increasing water catchment areas, on building fertilizer factories, on giving livestock farmers insurance; am they would be in a position to actually to cast a stone. Unfortunately, they are not.
But in their manifesto, one of the things that would have helped Kenyans to become secure when it comes to what they put on their table was the Ghalana Kulana irrigation Scheme. Billions were put into that particular scheme but their hasn’t been much from it.
Mwende Mwinzi ;
Am their has not been much but that does not mean it it will not be done. Am you know Rome was not build in a day, and I think we are making significant progress which is why those of us who have seen and felt the impact that Jubilee has done were saying “give these government more years; if what we’ve seen working am… And what they have pledged is to continue from where they have reached then Kenyan’s will be much of.
Ktn interviewer; So we expect some of these to feature in this manifesto?
Mwende Mwinzi ; Absolutely
BIG Q; Do you think what Mwende Mwinzi Said [“I mean we’ve had Raila Odinga, we’ve had Kalonzo Musioka in government for very very many years. If they had focus more on building dams, on increasing water catchment areas, on building fertilizer factories, on giving livestock farmers insurance; am they would be in a position to actually to cast a stone. Unfortunately, they are not.”] Beats logic? And Why?
